MHNT projects

OHPM is provided essential and lifesaving Health and Nutrition services for children (boys and girls) their caregivers and women in need affected by the emergency in Afghanistan through 26 Health and Nutrition Mobile Teams (MHNTs) in Kandahar, Khost, Paktika, Parwan, and Panjshir provinces. The MHNTs funded by UNICEF are covering 1,595,963 (Women 757,130 and Children 830,834) affected population targeting (109,200) 92300 received VAS+19900 Child-Bearing Women. Of the 26 MHNTs, 11 MHNTs are in Kandahar, 8 in Khost, 5 in Paktika, 1 in Parwan, and 1 in Panjshir provinces.

In the reporting period, the MHNTs provided male and female under-five children and CBA OPD consultations, IMAM services, RMNCH and family planning, deworming, EPI, health and nutrition education sessions, and MHPSS services to the most isolated people in hard-to-reach areas.
