OHPM implemented the Targeted Supplementary Feeding Program (TSFP) funded by WFP in fixed health facilities of Paktika, Helmand, and Khost provinces and through MHNTs in Kandahar, Khost, Paktika, Parwan, and Panjshir provinces during the year 2022.  The objectives of this program were to treat moderate acute malnourished children aged 6-59 months and acute malnourished pregnant and lactating women (PLWs) in targeted areas and to increase nutrition awareness of pregnant and lactating women and MAM children caregivers and promote optimal behaviors among them through social behavior change communication (SBCC). The OHPM distributed more than 782 MT RUSF to 168083 MAM children aged 6-59 months, 1060 MT Super Cereal, and 6.5 MT Plumpy Mum for 121925 MAM pregnant and lactating women in the targeted provinces.
